My Camera's and Photo's
I have been interested in photography for a long time but work got in the way so when I was retired in 1999 from work through ill health it was the opportunity to take it up again and with all these new digital cameras its so easy now.
My first digital camera was a Kodak 210 zoom next Kodak DX4330 then a Konica Minolta Dimage Z5, now the photo bug took hold my first Nikon a D40 with a Nikon DX AF-S Nikkor 55-200mm 1:4-5.6G ED and now I have a Nikon D90 with a Nikon ED AF-S Nikkor 70-300mm 1:4.5-5.6 G VR and lots of add-ons.
It started first just out walking one day a week for an hour then it longer and now it's two full day's, you may have seen that its mainly pictures of birds if you looked at the gallery, but if it stays still long enough it gets its photo taken.
My way of photographing is to have the camera over my shoulder and be ready to snap away, most of the walking is done round and about Beds, Bucks and Herts. I belong to Maple Lodge Conservation Society you can see them at www.rsdesign.org/sites/Maplelodge .
So now I'm into bird watching yes I've become a birder not a twitchier I don't dash around the country looking for that rare bird, but saying that the camera and binoculars are always with me in the car and when I have not got the Nikon with me I have a small Samsung ES55 10.2 mega pixels in my jacket pocket just in case I see something.
This link will take you to some of my photo's Gallery
